Hair Loss FemaleLosing your hair can be extremely upsetting.  Anyone can suffer with hair loss.  Female or male, does not matter, either sex can and does suffer with losing hair.  In fact hair loss in females has become quite common.  Earlier womens hair loss was considered quite rare and only men were said to suffer from it.  If the individual is not healthy, the first casualty happens to be her hair.  Poor diet, illness, stress, lack of sleep and deficiencies of certain vitamins and minerals all lead to hair loss.

Ladies hair loss is also caused due to lifestyle changes Normal hair grows about half an inch every month and if cared properly will last from two to six years. There are various reasons for hair loss.  Female stages of life, like menopause, childbirth, stress, hormonal changes in the body, can lead to hair loss, as can dieting and certain medications.

The hair is made up of a protein known as keratin. If there is loss of this protein due to various reasons, it results in hair loss. There are several natural, herbal and surgical methods used to restore hair growth and prevent further hair loss. Ascertaining the reason for the hair loss, will help in treating hair loss in an effective manner.

Hair grows in cycles. These cycles can be divided into three phases.

  • Anagen Phase – Growth Phase
  • Catagen Phase – Transitional Phase
  • Telogen Phase – Resting Phase

Hair fall can be prevented using medications and shampoos. Hair loss can dent the confidence of a woman as it is considered a vital aspect in their overall look. Most women experience hair loss at some point of time in their life and proper remedial action will help restore it to its former glory and beauty.
